Meet Janie

From the beginning, Janie vowed not to let rheumatoid arthritis control her life.

Janie has overcome more challenges in 20 years of life than most people twice her age. As a college student with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Janie knows the painful and often disabling symptoms of this disease all too well. With the help of her family, friends, and doctor, Janie is coping with RA and is keeping her eyes on her dreams.

Despite her struggles with RA, Janie has thrown her heart and soul into music, recording albums, and performing concerts in her hometown of Dallas, Texas and other cities across the country. INNERSTATE is a moving story of Janie's continuing battle with her disease and how it impacts her family, friends, and her discussions with her doctor.
