Despite a lifelong struggle with plaque psoriasis, Jason is still mapping out a bright future.
Since the age of six, Jason has struggled with severe plaque psoriasis. The first sign appeared in the form of a sore on his leg from a new pair of cowboy boots his parents had given him. Rather than healing like healthy skin, the sore evolved into a scaly skin "plaque." Within months, nearly 80 percent of Jason's body was covered in red, itchy, sometimes painful lesions on his scalp, face, legs, arms, and torso. Jason continued to struggle with his disease into adulthood.
Today, Jason works in the hospitality industry and manages a restaurant for a major restaurant chain. INNERSTATE is a moving story of how Jason is working to overcome his disease and how it impacts his family, friends, and his discussions with his doctor.
